I'm Dennie Nguyen.

I design digital products research-first and ship them to market. Currently building DateNight MTL, a next generation dating platform connecting Montrealers through real-world experiences at verified local venues.

About

My path wasn't linear. I've answered tickets for Shopify merchants, run a restaurant kitchen during service, designed real estate investment platforms, and co-founded a dating app with real venues as partners.

The through-line is the same everywhere — figure out what people actually need, ship something that respects their time, iterate.

Guesses are expensive. User interviews are cheap but in my opinion - the most valuable. I start there.

UX/UI Prototyping

Drafting customer journeys that will convert but at the same time creating a useful and fun experience for our users.

Fast Development

Claude Code lets one designer do what used to take a team. I prototype in real code, test in the browser, and ship MVPs without waiting for a dev cycle.

Most dating apps optimize for swipes. DateNight optimizes for dates — real ones, at real venues, with safety and verification built in from day one.

I co-founded it, led the research, designed the product end-to-end, and am running the Montréal beta.
